Global warning presents a double challenge to designers of the built environment. We have to reduce the exorbitant carbon costs of conventional construction, design buildings and human spaces that are suitable, energy efficient and socially beneficial. The informed choice of materials is important to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and to make their operation efficient. Holistic design principles are crucial in designing human environments that operate in symbiosis with natural cycles.

We at KDMA are playing our role, where possible, in promoting and creating building designs that produce less or better yet zero carbon emissions and that are not dependent on electrical heating, cooling, and air conditioning. From our blue print to our construction, we would love to pioneer Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) in the construction sector and reach our desired carbon neutral goals for 2024.
